The first bag that I made was for myself, I struggled along to my first yoga class with my mat, blanket and blocks as I couldn't find a bag big enough to take everything. Before the next class, I had made a large bag to make it easier. The bag attracted many positive comments, people were interested in obtaining one, so 'Ipsy Bags' was created. Having said that; some bags have been bought by people who do not practice yoga, just because they liked them; they use them for the beach or as big shoppers, as I do too.

It is important to me that every bag is unique

So I only buy small quantities of fabrics. I love working with the colours and textures of the textiles to create a new product. The bags vary slightly in style and features and are made with furnishing fabrics, which can be extremely expensive, so I try to buy remnants or 'end of rolls' to keep the cost down as much as possible.

Yoga Block Covers

Some bags are made with matching block covers (also sold separately). Many yoga blocks are made from rather ugly compressed foam, which over time gets very grubby. A cover makes them look better and must be more hygienic.
